On Monday the 1st of December we were given a further insight into the server side scripting language PHP. Our last workshop we looked into how we can integrate PHP with CSS and HTML but for this workshop we are having a more detailed look into the specific abilities PHP has over other programming languages. We had a look at stripping back the HTML in our index page and transferring the core html into another document as seen below
This piece of HTML declares the div class to be called “Box” and the text that will be used in the box with the image of the beach huts. I then used PHP to simplify the index page, stripping back all of the HTML so that PHP is only used as seen below:
PHP is useful as it makes it easier to program and manipulate multiple items and pages with a short amount of code.
